SUPERFECTA!

I FINALLY got my SUPERFECTA! What is a superfecta, you ask? It is like a trifecta, but with four. I know, I thought it was a quadfecta, but I googled it, and it is indeed "superfecta". SO, I have had roles on "As The World Turns" and "All My Children" multiple times, I also had a role on "Guiding Light" once... That always made three out of the four soap operas that shoot in NYC, and for as long as I can remember, I have wanted to work on ALL of them. Guess who just shot a two-episode arc on "One Life To Live" - I WIN! SUPERFECTA!!!

I am super-duper excited about that, and according to that source, my episodes will air Friday, October 30th and Monday, November 2nd.

Also, "White Collar" starts airing on USA Network THIS FRIDAY, October 23rd 10/9c
- I am not in the first episode (I will let you know, of COURSE when I know my episode's air date), but it looks like a really great show, so check it out!

Baby Mama Me?! YIKES!

I was lucky enough to do a photo shoot for Babies R Us - for the September catalogue (I am on the COVER and in it - yay) - as well as for some of their internet, signage, safety brochures, etc - very cool :) It was pretty funny - I have never done a photo shoot with babies before, and there is this whole world of "baby photography" that I had no idea about! For example - there were three different children for each set-up (in case one or two of them got a little cranky and decided he or she didn't want to be there!) Also - there is a person whose job is that of the "baby wrangler" - doesn't that sound like something for animals - wrangler?? Anyway - they come in with this HUGE suitcase full of toys and stand behind the photographer and make crazy baby "coos" and noises all day and tickle them with all of the toys - it is too funny.

Parlez-Vous Français?

When I was growing up, one night a week, my parents made us speak ONLY French at the dinner table. As in - you would be completely ignored if you spoke in English. Now, as you can imagine, I HATED them for it then, but boy am I GRATEFUL to them now!!! (They also took a very unappreciative brood of children with them to Paris and Geneva on business often - how ungrateful was I as a kid???)

I just finished shooting an episode of a new USA show that starts airing at the end of October called "White Collar". Why do I bring up the French? The only way you could even AUDITION for this part was if you were fluent - thanks Mums and Poops!!! My character, Claire, and her best friend, Brigitte (played by a gorgeous actress named Natalia - see pics!) spoke to each other in French in all of our scenes. It was hilarious, it was fantastically fun, and I loved, loved, LOVED every second of shooting!!!!

Catching up...

Hello, Blog-land! Okay, so obvi I am new at this. Instead of a "News" section on my website, I am going to TRY the whole blog thing... so we will see how it goes... fingers, toes and everything crossed!

This year so far... I have been one lucky, lucky actress!!!!

I started off the year right in January, with a beautiful photo shoot doing one of my favorite things in the whole world: YOGA!!! Here are two of my fave poses:

Also, in February, "Confessions of a Shopaholic" came out!

I was super-excited to see this scene in the trailer!

In March, I got to shoot an ABC Pilot (my very first network pilot!!!) called, "Empire State". It had a star-studded cast and a phenomenal script - it was SUCH an incredible experience.

Come April, I got to shoot my SECOND network pilot (I know, I know - I must be on someone's SUPER-GOOD list!!!), this one was for NBC, "Mercy". I got to play a reeeeeally fun character - an Upper East Side WASP (super-stretch, I know!) named Emily.

For several months, I was in a sketch comedy show called, "Fine, Funny, & Female"

When I wasn't on stage between then and now, I have been super busy with photo shoots and commercials... Yippee! More on that to come.

Did I mention I love to bake??? I recently went to an event hosted by an amazing theatre company, "The New York Theatre Experiment" (www.newyorktheatreexperiment.com) which was a "Pie-Off" in honor of their fifth birthday.

Here is one of the members of NYTE getting ready to take my vegan "Pudge-Free Pecan Pie" samples over to the judges (one of whom is the executive pastry chef at DANIEL!!!)

Guess what?! My pie placed in the "Top Five"!

Can you tell I was ELATED???

On that sweet note, I think we are almost caught up. And I am pretty sure that is more than enough for one post!!! xoxo
